A minimalist wallet made from reverse horse culatta — this piece is especially unique due to its dirty white finish, achieved through an aluminum tanning process.
Please note: The finish is intentionally “dirty” in appearance. It can attract and absorb dirt, dyes, and oils, which means its aging process may be unpredictable — and uniquely beautiful.
The wallet features two sections that comfortably fit cards or folded cash. It closes with a solid copper snap and is reinforced with two copper rivets to match.
This is a one-of-one piece — no other wallets will be made in this colorway.
NB: On the last photo you can see how a new wallet compares to the one I've heavily used for a couple of months. The more experienced wallet and lighter were rubbing against waxed black denim and had other harsh experiences. Fluffy parts of the hide absorb more and can become grayish, but at the same time the leather becomes more smooth and glossy over time.
It's a strange and beautiful process for an acquired taste.
All leather items are hand-stitched and handmade without any machines from the most amazing materials. Traditional veg tan leather, deadstock Italian leather, glass glazed horse shoulder, horse culatta and shell cordovan. You can read more about the horse leather in the blog.
Each item is one of a kind due to the natural full grain texture of leather and the creative process. Everything particular about this item is as it should be.
